There is no such thing as a friendly tickle.

No such thing at all.

Two dreams and questions.

About a month back my friend Joel had a dream about me. In it I was taking music lessons, and the teacher says that I need to learn a new song. When I first heard this dream I had an idea right away what this dream was about. To me it ment that I was still in that same old dualistic lifestyle rut that I have been in all of my life. I think God is telling me that I need to stop talking about getting out this rut, and depending on my own strength to climb out and let God pull me out and into his arms.
Then on Monday, Joel reminded me of the dream again, so at work that night I asked God to show me what the dream meant, since I had forgotten about it so easily before. Then on Tuesday night as I had just fallen asleep I had a dream. In the dream I was either listening to a record player, or looking through a pile of records, or both as it wasn't clear. Anyway I picked up a blue record case, and on the title were the words "Who will you protect" in white. After this I woke up and realised I had only been asleep for a matter of minutes. I figured this dream meant something because I absolutly never remember my dreams.

Also I discovered that God truely was watching out for my family last Sunday. We finally got the car back to Winnipeg and discovered that it was not the transmission as was first believed, but that the rear axle had broken. This was good, because fixing an axle is alot cheaper than fixing a transmission, but if this had happened on the highway, instead of as they were pulling out of customs, the van and everyone inside would have been totaled.

A stressful Sunday

O.K, so Sunday started out pretty good, I went to church, and heard Jan Stephan speak which was good as well as inspiring. Anyway, after church, my sister Jodi and I are walking out to her car when we realized that her passenger side window had been smashed with a rock. So that was very stressfull for her, I was upset since they stole my box of Corn Pops. We then went to Jodi's place where I cleaned out her car and she put my nephew Alex to bed. While this was happening my sister Jinelle called. She had gone down to Grand Forks to pick up my parents, whom had been visiting family and supporting churches in Illinois. It turns out that just as she and her friends were given permission to cross the border into the States, the car breakes down. So she's stuck at the border, and my folks are about to catch a train in Chicago. So after a few prayers and MANY, MANY, phone calls, just I am begging Cam to drive with me down to the border to pick up Jinelle(my other sister) then go pick up my parents, with the House of Hesed van(it had taken five phone calls to get permission to use the van), when Jinelle calls to say that she had been able to find a ride. One of the friends she was with called his buddy and he came down and got them, and my parents. So with a huge sigh of relief(and some pizza) I was able to relax and rest. But God truely is watching out for us, because when my parents arrived home this morning, I realized that the guy who picked them up was an old friend of mine. His name is Shaun Saddler, and we were in the Honor Guard together. This had been a huge coincedence, and I had been a little leery of my family traveling with someone we didn't know.
So Father if I forgot, Thank you for watching out for those I love, and keeping them in safe company, Yours.

a little bit of culture

This is taken from William Shakespeare's Henry V. It is probably my favorite peace of writing. This speech was given just before the battle of Agincourt, 25 October 1415. It is one of the many speeches given to men on the eve or morning of battle throughout history. Enjoy.

WESTMORELAND: O that we now had here

But one ten thousand of those men in England

That do no work to-day!

KING: What's he that wishes so?

My cousin Westmoreland? No, my fair cousin;

If we are mark'd to die, we are enow

To do our country loss; and if to live,

The fewer men, the greater share of honour.

God's will! I pray thee, wish not one man more.

By Jove, I am not covetous for gold,

Nor care I who doth feed upon my cost;

It yearns me not if men my garments wear;

Such outward things dwell not in my desires.

But if it be a sin to covet honour,

I am the most offending soul alive.

No, faith, my coz, wish not a man from England.

God's peace! I would not lose so great an honour

As one man more methinks would share from me

For the best hope I have. O, do not wish one more!

Rather proclaim it, Westmoreland, through my host,

That he which hath no stomach to this fight,

Let him depart; his passport shall be made,

And crowns for convoy put into his purse;

We would not die in that man's company

That fears his fellowship to die with us.

This day is call'd the feast of Crispian.

He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,

Will stand a tip-toe when this day is nam'd,

And rouse him at the name of Crispian.

He that shall live this day, and see old age,

Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,

And say 'To-morrow is Saint Crispian.'

Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars,

And say 'These wounds I had on Crispian's day.'

Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot,

But he'll remember, with advantages,

What feats he did that day. Then shall our names,

Familiar in his mouth as household words-

Harry the King, Bedford and Exeter,

Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester-

Be in their flowing cups freshly rememb'red.

This story shall the good man teach his son;

And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,

From this day to the ending of the world,

But we in it shall be remembered-

We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;

For he to-day that sheds his blood with me

Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,

This day shall gentle his condition;

And gentlemen in England now-a-bed

Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,

And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks

That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.

more cool pics

So today I had sword practice with Eddie(you rock!!!!!). And so I decided to show some the swords that I learned on, and some that I just played around with.

These two are mine, Eddie was very jeolous (?) of the Tai Chi sword, because it turns out, I bought the exact sword he was looking at, so he had to order one online. But I was completly innocent since I didn't know at the time. Sorry.

This is Eddies'. He didn't show me anything with it, since he is just learning himself, but man this is an awesome weapon. The same goes for the 3 sectional staff, but only because I would need alot of padding, if I wanted to stay out of the emergency room.
