I saw this and thought of my friend Nathan.

Changes to the English language

The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility. As part of the negotiations, Her Majesty's Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a five-year phase-in plan that would be known as 'Euro-English'.

In the first year, 's' will replace the soft 'c'. Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard 'c' will be dropped in favor of the 'k'. This should klear up konfusion and keyboards kan have one less letter.

There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome 'ph' will be replased with the 'f'. This will make words like 'fotograf' 20% shorter!

In the third year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expected to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible. Governments will enkorage the removal of double leters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling. Also, al wil agre that the horible mes of the silent 'e' in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.

By the fourth year, peopl wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing 'th' with 'z' and 'w' wiz 'v'. During ze fifz year ze unesesary 'o' kan be dropd from vords kontaining 'ou' and similar changes vud of kurs be aplid to ozer kombinations of leters. After ze fifz yer ve vil hav a rali sensibl ritn styl. Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evriun vil find it ezi tu undrstand ech ozer.

Zen Z Drem Vil Finali Kum Tru!!

Youtube

I logged into my Youtube page and saw that I have watched a total of 3,219 videos, and that is just when I'm logged in. And since I'm only logged in about half the time, that's a whole lot of videos. Also I haven't posted a single video(I am not techno-savvy), but I have 102 favorites. What I love about youtube is the memories it can invoke. Like I typed in Carman, and found a bunch of videos from his concerts, including one that I when to as a kid. Or there's the fun stuff like the original Numa Numa guy, and the leggo Princess Bride. And then there's just the butt load of wushu and highlander videos that I have to collect. I had a point when I started this but I've completely lost it. If I remember it I'll add another post.
Oh yeah, one more thing. Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Nathan and Maria Epp, who got married yesterday. the wedding was awesome.

I just finished doing sound at my church for 12 hours straight. I was actually pretty easy for most of the night. For three sets the artist only wanted a mic for them to sing and they played electric guitar. Also since there were less than 10 people there for most of the night at one time, I took advantage of the amazing space our church has and spent a couple hours working on my Butterfly kick for wushu. It's starting to look good. Of course I was dizzy for the next few hours, but them's the breaks.
By the way, anyone catch the St. Pierre.v.Serra fight? I had to miss it but I hear it was great. I love it when the underdog wins. Congrats to Matt "the Terror" Serra.

Gotta Practice

Do you ever feel like when you have to practice or finish something that that's when the distractions come? Of course, everyone does. Well for me, I don't think I ever really learned to ignore all the distractions. When it came to studying in school, or more importantly doing homework assignments, I would easily get distracted, usually by T.V. And now at work I get distracted more by the amount of time I have and the overstimulation of my brain. You see I work a ten hours night shift. And I would have to say that lately 5.5 hours of that is spent reading on the couch in the office. And nearly all of that is spent in silence, but that doesn't me it's quiet. I think that's a big problem for me, I can quiet my mind. I have to be doing something. Either reading, talking(to myself occasionally), or have some song or another running through my head. Also I get alot of t.v. and movie dialogue running up there too. Of course that makes me pretty good at movie and t.v. trivia. Seriously, if you ask me any question regarding an episode of Highlander, Stargate SG-1, Macgyver, Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Or CSI, And I should be able to answer you. I know, I'm a geek, but hey, I'm a geek that can beat you up.

And now back to the point(see how easily i get distracted). I recently found out that I'm going to be in my first Martial Arts tournament on April. 28. So that means I have a month and a half to learn two routines, one unarmed, and one weapons form. I already know the unarmed form since I've been doing it for the last year, but it still need's alot of clean up. Now weapons form is alot different. For one thing, the sword is called a nandao( southern broadsword), and I only received it late Febuary. Also the style of Wushu that I study most is Nonchen( I have absolutly no idea how to spell it), which uses smaller more compact movement with alot more power and strength, ie, the one inch punch. This means I have to increase my core strength, which is very painful to do. I also have to work on my cardio endurence, and my flexability. Now for thosewho don't know me, I'm a big guy. I'm 6'2", and am usually between 270-290, depending on the week I had. So I have my work cut out for me, but I keep getting distracted. Either my family is calling my cell(no one else dares calling during the day), or the home phone is ringing off the hook, and I'm taking messages all day, or my sisters bring my nephews over needing a babysitter. Now I love the little guy's, but have you ever tried to do floor stretches in the visinity of a 3.5 years old, and a 1 year old. It ain't easy.

guess I better get back to training. 2am seems to be my only free time.

I have totally found the best way to lose weight fast for a week. Get the flu, then have that manifest in your throat so you develope ulcers that make you feel like you have strep(?) throat, and your all set. I survived for four days on ginger ale, orange juice, and a few crackers whenever I had to take the t3's for the massive amount of pain the ulcers caused. And I dropped 15 pounds without moving a muscle. of course the down side is it left too weak to do almost anything, that and I was running a fever for the duration.

Oh well, I'm back to my normal self, although still a few pounds lighter, and going to wushu for the first time in two weeks, so all is okay today.

Wow, it's been a long time. I don't even know if anyone still checks this things, since I didn't bother for a month. That's mostly because I spent as much of the summer offline as I could. But it's also because I've been on a very emotional and spiritual roller coaster these last few months(well actually years). I can't really express what I'm going thru in words, I don't know if it's because I haven't opened up about really anything in my life for years, or if it's just fear. For as long as I can remember, when ever people asked me how I'm doing, I say good, fine, not to bad, when inside I'm screaming HORRIBLE!!. I mean except for a couple of glimmers, I have felt spiritually dead all my life. I know that I don't have a personal relationship with Jesus. I just live off the crumbs of the people around me, and I can't take it anymore.

So this is me asking for help in the only way I can at the moment. For those of you who know me, prayer, email, coffee, this is as far as I feel I can take this on my own, but I'm not good at asking for help, so please, pray about this, and ask God what to do.
